Event Details
After a couple of venue mishaps which have delayed
proceedings, we’re continuing on our quest for the perfect party space,
exploring the best London has to offer. We have found a lovely Dalston basement
for the next Mavrik party. It’s situated under a Turkish restaurant with a
fantastic soundsystem and capacity is once again quite limited.
This time we will be bringing down a special guest to play some music for us: Nick the Record!
A true record addict, Nick has obsessively built his collection since the 80s, first tracing Hip Hop samples back to their roots to build a foundation of soul and disco, he now plays an entire spectrum spanning from that to electro, jazz, dub and everything in between. He was recently tasked with compiling the 4th volume of Under The Influence, a series whose curators make up a proverbial Who's Who of serious record collector DJs. We highly recommend you check out the compilation as well any mixes you can get your hands on. We're very excited to see what Nick brings down to the Souls!
